TB search frustrating?

Whenever I try searching for G&L even if I include the model number I get this:
Sorry - no matches. NOTE, that the forum search ignores words that are under 3 characters long, or extremely popular words like "bass" and "guitar".
Is there a way around this?
I get it when searching for other short named items as well.

Use the Google search option that shows up when you click the Search link. You can enter "G&L" there just fine and find all kinds of results.

I don't see the Google search option when I click on search this forum, then advanced search. I'm trying to search the classified basses for sale.

If you are using the web interface, when you click the search button, the dialog box that comes up should have two options:

1. Search Forums with Google
2. Search Forums with Internal Search

You can also just go to Google and type in a search like this:

G&L sb2 site:talkbass.com

To access the google search option you need to hit the main "search" link in the page header (not "search this forum).

The google site search can be frustrating when trying to limit your search to one specific forum. However to search classifieds for G&L, I'd suggest this search:

G&L "for sale"

And then be sure and order the results by date (not relevance) if you want active ads.
