Weird width issues with 800px screen

On my Asus Eee I get this weird clipping. The thread view doesn't adapt to small screen and gets shifted to the right side. Every other page works OK, including forum lists and this post editing page I'm in right now.
Now I can overcome this by scrolling horizontally but it gets pretty irritating after viewing 20 threads..
I don't mind seeing the banner on the left btw, just that the thread should adjust itself too, no?

I'm sorry to say that the current design isn't really tailored for 800px wide screen resolutions. 1024+ has become the new standard - Google Analytics for TalkBass show that less than 3% of our visitors are using a smaller resolution than 1024... I can take a look at making it squeeze down more, but I can' promise anything.

Well that can change soon if ultra portable laptops become popular (when, not if IMHO)

Btw if changing the design itself is troublesome, then maybe some specific CSS could be added to allow workarounds using Stylish FireFox plugin or similar?

Hah. That's true. I always think of people moving to higher res displays, I didn't think to consider the ultra portables. We'll see if they take off - I guess Apple's releasing one soon. You must have to do a lot of scrolling on a lot of sites?
