Man, I've been GASing for a P bass and this seems like everything I want in a precision. Of course, it's my luck that as soon as I discover a bass like this, it disappears from the GC site...

Well, if you do cave and then get buyer's remorse, I imagine that one of these would sell in about 5 seconds on the Classifieds. Just sayin'.

Personally, I am able to resist only because I just bought a similar-looking custom Precision from a TB member. (Posted here a ways back.)

I was looking at p's on the gc site yesterday. They had the Am. Special, but no honey burst. The last time I saw it, it was listed separately anyways, as a GC exclusive.

could always call and ask if there are any left in the system. Sometimes they clear the website with a handful left.

I got mine at a scratch and dent price of $595

The first scratch/dent is always tough, but every one after that is added mojo.

The first time I saw Honeyburst was on a Custom Shop Strat that I couldn't afford. So I built my own Tele in Honeyburst.

When it was time to build a Jazz bass, Honeyburst was the only color I considered. I'll have to shoot some pics of the finished bass soon.
Love the Telecaster. Nice work.

Also a great bass, the more so if you can find one of the few remaining MIJs. But very different. Polyurethane finish and super-glossy neck on the '70s. Rustic matte body and satin neck on the Honeyburst. Both nice. Good luck!

Checked the zzounds site. The 026 prefix is MIJ!! MIM is 013 prefix. Somebody is gonna get lucky. Fender is reportedly no longer manufacturing in Japan for the US market. Get 'em while you can, boys.

Picked up one while it was on clearance. Managed to trade a MIM jazz and EBD500 ibanez to get the price at $400 out the door. Great bass nice finish.
