Still cheaper than a Sadowsky. But then again, I think most basses are too expensive.

I'm sure glad I'm done buying them. If I were starting out today, I'd have a real hard time even affording one decent bass.

those basses are not like the american standard line. it's somewhere between the custom shop and the american standards. price is therefore in between.
if you like it buy it, if you don't like it don't complain about the price of something you haven't tried yet.
Glad you're here to tell us what we are and aren't allowed to talk about on the internet. Thanks dad.

Why don't you use all the time you spend reading threads where people fight and telling them what to do to practice your instrument....just a thought

Why dont you... etc.

It's not how I'd choose to spend my money, when I can get something made exactly to my specs - but I'm sure there are people who really want this exact bass and have the money for it. I don't get it personally but GAS is a funny thing.

Geezz...I just paid $700 for one of the nicest P basses I have ever owned....There is no way I could justify that price. $1295 for my 57RI, $1400 for my 62 RI and $1500 for my 75 RI.

Fender, IMO, is making a tactical error here.....
+2.
At these prices, I've just become a Warmoth customer.

I thought about buying one but for $3400 I bought a real '73...all black n looks just like the geddy and I love the chunkier neck, feels great and is flat as a brand new one. The neck nut is really skinny, line 1.42"...great player and has that mojo and will b worth some coin in 20+ years...love these '72-'74 basses...have the closer funkier bridge pickup, chunkier neck, ultra skinny nut width, and 4 bolt neck. These 3 years they had it perfect man...

Here you go. I too love the reissue.

But it's price is "out there"

So I took my '11 MIA Jazz deluxe and Made it Ol'school but even shinier.

What do you all think?

It's too early for bass porn.

I have a new this year Am Dlx J, and it has black pearloid blocks. If I could have gotten white pearl, I would have.

Great bass though.

The recent American Fenders are really nice basses.

I like the black mostly because you can see them on the maple and of course match the guard.

But you are right, they are killer basses. I also have a P deluxe.

Also, sweet.

I paid just about that for an actual 1974 Jazz 4 or 5 years ago.

I also paid just under $2k for my black (Geddy) 1973 less than 3 years ago. It was repainted and has old SD PU, but still.

IMO it is expensive vs the American Standard and Deluxe.
