The 50+ Basses Owned Club!!!

OK, let's get this started! (Yep, I'll assign numbers...)

I'm starting a new club -- the "50+ Basses Owned Club". I don't really want to join the G&L club or the Fretless club or the Lakland club and get some number in the stratosphere, so I'm gonna start my own.

So let's hear it! Who's owned over 50 basses in their lifetime? You don't have to list every one of 'em, just a list of manufacturers and a number of them that've passed through your hands. Like this:

G&L - 30
Lakland - 13
Fender - 8
EB/MM - 4
Epiphone - 3
Gibson - 2
Ibanez - 2
Guild - 1
Wilkins -1
Tobias - 1
Cort - 1

Let's go!

EDIT: Forgot a couple....

Ric - 1
Hofner - 1
Warwick - 1
Kay URB - 1
Englehardt URB - 1
Carruthers EUB - 1
Greco - 1
Rob Allen - 1
+1 more Fender

I'll have to look at my spreadsheet at home, but I think that I'm pretty close .... kinda shameful actually.

EDIT: I got the sheet out...

Peavey (5)
Fender (9)
Ibanez (3)
Yamaha (2)
Lakland (1)
Spector (1)
Ovation (1)
G&L (1)
SX (4)
Franken's (6)
----------------
33

Not even close, but it seems pretty responsible now, considering that it's been about 19 years for me. If we add guitars in this mix, then I'm right about at 50.

I don't wanna diss G&L or Lakland ( fine basses!) but if one have owned 30 G&L's, when do that somebody realize that that's probably not the bass for him? It's another thing if he stills owns them!!!

Finally--seems like a lot of the clubs started lately could include just about every TB member! (And I certainly don't qualify for this one.)

I'm sure I'm in. What's my number?

Oh man, I just did some preliminary counting. I did 50 basses in under two years.

Yeah, I need a number.

I'd ask why on Earth you'd need 30 G&Ls and 13 Laks, but clearly you've bypassed "need".
