+1 It would be easier to fix than to find another one in better shape I also have never heard of them they look cool.

I sold mine here about a year ago. Can't imagine fender calling this color Burgandy Mist but I guess with Fender anything is possible.

premium price??

what exactly is premium pice?? If you paid above 10K then yes, return it if it's not perfect. If you paid 5K or under, and really want it, then just get it fixed.

My very first bass cost me around 90 bucks, and I thoght that was expensive back then.

It's all subjective. Cheap for you might be premium for someone else, so depending on how much you want it, you can do one of 2 things: If you like it, fix it. If you think you can do better later on, then return it.

To me a premium price would be the market value that one would expect to pay for an example of the instrument in mint or near mint condition. The crack definitely lowers the market value.
