About to leave to buy this ernie ball bass, someone please read!

I'm looking for an answer on this, would this bass be worth $200? I'm literally leaving in 5-10 minutes to pick it up so an ASAP answer would be lovely

What kind of bass is this?
I can't identify it to other musicman basses

That's not an ernie ball bass. I can't say if it is worth $200.

A OLP for $200 with HSC?
Not bad.
See if he will go $150-175 then you have a real good deal

Check it out good and make sure everything is okay

That's not an Ernie Ball. It's an OLP Musicman copy.

The bass is an OLP.

Seems like a fair price with the case included.

Sort of like a Squier.
They can be modded into real nice basses.
Dont expect to be getting a Sting Ray for $200

OLP is different than the Sterling by Musicman line. OLP wasn't owned by EB, it was a separate company that licensed (hence the name "offically licensed product") the MM designs and made them in China. EB ended up dropping their licensing with OLP and then started the Sterling by Musicman.

Here's a thread on the Ernie Ball forums that explains it pretty well.

A Chinese copy. They were licensed by Ernie Ball to reproduce the design.

One problem with the OLPs is that they weren't really exactly copies of stingrays. They had like 4 bolt necks, most of them were passive, and if I remember even the bridge was a bit different. So they were more just basses that had a humbucker that looked like a stingray.

That's a good bass at that price. Especially with case.
