You did good. I played a show in Memphis with a 5 string just like it and it sounded Killer.

That's exactly like Sterling by MusicMan - EBMM does NOT own SBMM. They're licensed copies made in Asia by/for a company called Praxis. Totally separate to EBMM.

I you've got proof to back that up then I'll happily admit that I'm wrong, but my understanding was that since SBMM started they've been under the ownership of Praxis. Praxis' contact details are the ones on the SBMM site, not EBMM.

Unless your telling me EBMM owned Praxis?

it is not as good as a real made in USA Stingray. But they make fine beater basses.
$200 with a hardshell case is worth it.
The best deals on used genuine Ernie Balls are the discontinued SUB series (not the SUB by Sterling by Musicman).
The SUB series were made in SLO next to the regular Stingrays. They have slab bodies, flat textured paint and 2 band eq preamps (or passive on some models).
They usually go for $300-500.
I picked up mine for $285.
The one I own doesnt have as great an action as my Rays or my Sterling. But it does have a great tone!

That's interesting.
There is nothing about Ernie Ball or Music Man on the Stirling site and nothing about Stirling on the Ernie Ball or Music Man sites.
