About Musicman H x HH
 

I have 4 musicmans stingrays...
All in H configuration and 4 strings version (stealth slo, 2012 edition the white one, 30th anniversary and a stealth stingray).

I'm looking for a 5 string musicman or maybe another 4 string.

But in H or HH?

What's the real difference between the H or HH version?

anyone could define it?

The H has a single pickup
The HH has two pickups with switching options

Or with 1pickup (on 4s and sr5) is basically the same kind of sound that I can achieve?

the neck pickup of the HH has a very different sound. I originally loved my H so I could keep it simple but after getting a HH that changed. Both stingray5 both with great sound

You've got a 2nd pickup which is going to give you more/different sounds than just a single pickup.

An SR5 has a 3 way switch, an SR4 does not. Theoretically, an SR5 should be able to give you the same sound that an SR4 can do, plus 2 more due to the switch.

Depending on what year bass you are looking at (SR5's specifically), they may have completely different pickups. SR4's have always had alnico. SR5's had ceramic in them for a long time before switching over to alnico within the last few years.

An SR5 with a ceramic pickup had a lot more in common tonally with a Sterling than a Stingray.

The HH weighs more? I've owned both, and the HH has a deeper option with the neck pickup.

And the SR5 wth H version? they have switch positions too

Depends if it's a 2 or 3 band. The 3 bands have a switch.

Now you're talking about a regular ol' SR5 and the SR5 Classic, which doesn't come in an HH model AFAIK.
