I've got a balanced tension Circle K set on the way so I can compare to the stock nickels and see which work best, but it's a great start point to compare to.

When I'm sat noodling away and watching TV that short lower horn doesn't sit comfortably on my leg. But then again, I always play standing up when I'm playing properly and could just shorten the strap if sitting.
And that's literally the only thing I can say bad about the Finn! Looks great, feels great and balances perfectly.

I got used to it very quickly, I used to play a Warwick Thumb which was a struggle when seated too.
Two things that might help you out, well you've guessed one already, use your strap to help hold the bass in place, but you can also try moving the bass over to your left leg, in a more classical guitar style position.
To be honest, I really don't find it an issue at all after a bit of time, and play seated without a strap pretty much all the time at the moment.
Cheers,
Eude |

The course of treatment still has some way to go and I think that in this respect Scoopbass is an inspiration for us all; got to love the Moth bass. |

I've never disliked it but I'm getting to teh stage where it's really feeling like a part of me. Those little tweaks on things like pickup height, strap length, action etc all add up. The upgraded split coil works great, after some problems with the initial one (quickly fixed by Alan). I 've learned when best to use the different pickup settings. My favourite is still the thunderous series option.
I was slightly unsure about the Circle K balanced tension strings at first but as they've played in and darkened a little I'm really enjoying them and the sound matches the excellent feel.
One thing I particularly love is the minimal lacquer finish. It means that the open grain, small knots and various 'imperfections' in the black limba top aren't hidden and really add to the character - I definitely prefer it to a flat finish as it enhances the 'woodiness'!
