Acoustic Bass Guitars
 

So,

I've got a Fender Kingman acoustic bass guitar. LOVE HER! I call her Meryl (or Muryl because see is a southern gurl). She projects great. It's more of a treble projection than anything but in an acoustic setting she gets the job done and is just as gorgeous plugged in (she has an upright quality plugged in which is important cause I gotta play jazz on her sometimes).

She's gotten me into acoustic bass guitars though. I was wondering if there are any others out there people think can project. Also, does anyone have a or a picture of the original Kay acoustic bass guitar?

I've got a cheapie that turned out to be a goodie.... and it's a Dean.

I have a Breedlove BJ350 that I love. Sounds good acoustic, though I do need to really wail on it with a pick to get it to cut. It also sounds really fabulous through an amp - I use a GK MB150S - and can easily move from quasi-double bass tones through rattle-y Violent Femmes style sounds. It sits in the mid-range, price-wise. New, mine was around $850 with a nice hardshell case.
