Acoustic Bass issue - Dean Playmate EAB (bridge lift)

Sign in to disble this ad
I know, a cheap bass and all, but perhaps I could still get some advice?

I noticed about a year ago that the bridge has lifted a bit - it has NOT gotten worse. Judging by the 2 round dots the bridge is likely actually screwed to the underside, not only glued, but I wonder if I need to reglue?

FWIW I bought the bass new for $130 shipped and it's a total joy to play and the loudest bass acoustically I could find (short of the expensive Tacoma Thunderchief). So I know that there are better units out there, but I really can't afford/justify that.

I have this same bass. I haven't noticed the bridge lifting on mine, but it looks like it needs to be reglued.

I concur about it being a very "loud" acoustic bass. The huge body is a factor.
