My Epi case has an industrial adhesive kind of smell.

Not unpleasant, but nothing I want to linger over.

I think the EBMM smell on their basses is the oil/wax on the neck

It's not like we're talking about going around smelling other people's bicycle seats.

+1 to the new Rickenbacker smell. Sort of like cherry vanilla... It's addicting whatever it is...

Talk Bass, always good for a laugh, and occasional valuable information.

I feel sorry for you. In California, smoking in bars was outlawed years ago. I can't imagine playing or going to a bar, or anywhere else, where smoking is allowed.

Haha. Its so strange to go out of state and go to a restaurant and get asked smoking or non smoking? However there is a bar in my town that lets us rock n roll types smoke while shooting pool.

BTW I gave my Ibanez a sniff today. Smelled like chalk and pennies.

The only pronounced "smell" I ever noticed was from SKB cases, which have a very distinct smell inside. Must be the adhesive.

I used to go to the Orance County (Ca) Vintage guitar show every year, and as soon as you walked into the door, it smelled like Grandma's Attic. I LOVED it!

Well, that's pretty close to smelling people's bicycle seats.

I'm actually addicted to playing my bass. I've never actually smelled it, not that I can remember anyway.

Never knew how many creepy weirdos there were on here. Most of you seem so normal otherwise. Between this and the Brony threads, it's starting to feel like a NYC subway at 1 am on here!
