Advice on 35" scale 4 string

Sign in to disble this ad
Would appreciate some advice from you TB'rs. I recently picked up a Peavey USA Cirrus 5 from a fellow TB'r and really like the 35" scale length; never played a 35" scale bass before. It just feels more natural to me.

What 35" 4 string would you recommend? Would probably be happy with a Peavey USA 4, but would like advice on other makes I ought to consider, passive or active. Would prefer a neck thru.

BTW, where I live the closest GC is 100 miles so I can't just drive around town and try things out.

thx for any advice you can give me.

For a neck through you can probably custom order a 35" scale 4 string Carvin. They're no longer produced but the 4 string version of the Modulus M92 of the 5 string I used to play is a bolt on but a great bass just the same. I'm sure you can find some used 5's if you shop around.

Spector Euro 4LX35 is a great choice.

Modulus Q4's are also 35" scale.

I'm not sure if any Ibanez 4's are 35" scale but I'd check their website out to see. They are making some great stuff nowadays.

The G Bass is pretty cool. No bridge pickup.

If you like the Cirrus and want something similar, the Millennium has a similar feel and different sound. Fun bass.

Thanks for the input

Thanks for all the suggestions. Would love a Spector or Modulus, but don't have the greens to buy one of those. Never played a G bass so will try to find one to see how it feels. Will still look for a Cirrus 4 if I can find one at a good price.
