You mean the ESP LTD? Why do you think it's "better" than a Ibanez SR?

+1 - Ibanez SR basses are completely different basses in sound & feel compared to Fender/Squier

If it's in the price range...get it, u wont regret it.

Might i suggest arctic white, and a tort pickguard. An instrument you will keep forever, guaranteed.

bass

if you like a small neck and a relatively effortless player you can't beat the ibanez basses. the sound is good....there are better sounding basses out there but bang for the buck its hard to top ibanez.

Squier CV. I'm also a noob, noodling around for about a year or so. My first bass was an Ibanez (fast neck). My second bass was an ESP-LTD D-5. Sold them both and picked up an active MIM Fender. NICE! I just picked up a Squier CV 60's P and it's also super nice, I think it's even nicer than my MIM Fender.

The Ibanez sounded good but didn't play well and it felt kind of cheap. My LTD looked and played well but I didn't care for the way it sounded. I took the long way around to becoming a Fender owner. They play and sound great. Can't go wrong with a Fender or one of the higher quality Squier P basses imho.
