Can't see how they can really "re-vamp" the AVRI line, besides the possible addition of colors. What gives?

As that happens, generally the price will go down due to equal or greater profit margins at the lower price with the higher demand.

I plan on making a purchase around Feb of next year and a custom color may have me re-thinking my decision to go with an Am. Std. instead of another AVRI P.

But if you look at the Strat's and Tele's they have some cool stuff.
I'm hoping some of it bleeds over to the basses

The Price drop is probably anticipating the new releases by helping move old stock. Although, I got my 62 Jazz from Sweetwater a number of months back for about the same price, just after negotiating with them (shameless love for Sweetwater).

These prices are posted on in the bass gallery in plain view.

Black has been in the line for precisions up until the last few years (I remember looking at getting black when I bought mine in 07), and is still an option for the jazz bass. There is no black precision listed as an AVRI on Sweetwater. Yes, I can see the prices, that's why I said you can see the price drop on Sweetwater.

They have a black jazz. The jazz's have been offered recently and was actually the first color to take the price drop, it seems. I think we've established the black precision as a (up until 2008) standard offering. So does anyone have any other info on the new (if it is coming) AVRI line? Again, what is there to revamp, aside from colour?
