American Special Build-Capri Orange OR Shoreline gold??

Cheers;
I am building about 5 Basses. The 1st Project is a Fender American Special Precision. I am posting 2 Pictures and would like help deciding which one to go with. I realise that some may not like either but I really want to hear from those who like one or the other or both. Both Bodies are Made in Japan and Solid Alder. The neck is USA 2012 Fender. One is Capri Orange the other is Shoreline Gold.
Thanks for voting and comments.

Both are so nice! I'd favor the orange, though.

Typically, I would say go for the gold, but I'm not feeling it with the maple neck.

Orange for me, its got character, says fun and style to me...gold is a little gaudy IMO.

Gold. The orange reminds me of the rack of "international" model Fenders I saw at Swing City Music in Collinsville, IL back in the day. Yuck!

I voted for either. I like the gold but love the orange. Either way, you gotta do something other than that stark white guard.

The gold is a more classic Fender color, FWIW. I never have cared for orange Fenders, but that's just me.

Thanks for all the votes. I went with orange & I'm happy with the results. I got the Neck pocket trimmed as it was a bit tight. Minor trimming of the Scratch plate was needed to. I will post up pictures on Wednesday. This is the first of 4 Builds I am doing and I plan to sell them here on TB.

Slap a gold guard on it, then you can have both!

That would look sweet.

I guess whoever buys it can Customise it or I can Offer to change it for them. I still gotta get strings on it and set it up. Then it's picture time. I want to keep the $$ low so someone gets a sweet bass without breaking the bank.

I'm a fan of Shoreline Gold, but w/ a maple board the orange looks nicer (IMHO).

And a brown tort guard would look nice, too!
