Wow... this thread is still alive.

Maybe it should be a club?

Or is it too specific...

Anyway, to be honest, there was nothing at all special about the wiring in my lefty. Standard solid-shaft CTS pots, plastic coated stranded wire, and one of those tiny creme colored caps.

In all honesty, I was pretty disappointed that all standard audio taper pots were used and wired lefty.

Not THAT big of a deal with the volume control, but it makes the tone control practically useless since the taper is wrong.

So, I gutted mine and replaced all the electronics with CTS reverse audio taper pots wired lefty, added a fancy over-priced oil-can cap and used all cloth wiring.

I kept the pickups though... not sure what they are, exactly... they have raised pole-pieces... but they sound really good.

I've been tempted to throw some Fralins in there though... just to see what might happen...

My CS 64 limited has cloth wiring, CTS pots, and seems to be period accurate except for the raised pole pieces..

Just to be clear... the pickups on mine have cloth wiring... the rest of the wiring, however, was just run-of-the mill plastic coated wire that you see everywhere.

Thank you! And could you please be more specific re. the values of pots and caps?

Standard Jazz Bass fare... all three 250K pots and a .47 microfarad cap.

Seafoam green. Arrived right around a year ago. It's never leaving.
