LP Triumph owner right here.
I had a Studio T-bird that played surprisingly nice too, but I had too many other players and sold it off.

| | I'm gonna add some bottom... | | | | | I've got a 68 EB3 short scale that I use quite often. Love it. Excellent Reggae bass, too.

Kind of a brother to the OPs SG supreme... Which is quite lovely by the way!

I went to Bass pro shop and to my surprise they didn't have a single bass guitar.

I'm enjoying a Gibson phase right now. It is an interesting departure from Fender - different tone, different ergonomics. I am starting to get a handle on the tone. The ergonomics came faster. I think those that complain about neck dive haven't spent enough time getting an understanding of the Gibson bass. To each his own, but I'm glad I decided to invest a little time into exploring Thunderbirds. |

My bands all love that one. The same bands have forbidden me to ever bring out the '72 EB-0 again. Just too muddy.
It is rare anybody other than a bass player has a strong viseral responce to the sound of a bass. So I was shocked at the universal dislike of the EB-0. They play great.
The newer Gibson pickups sound so much nicer these days. |

I actually just got it back from repair (new nut and fret grind & polish) and it's a great bass. Cuts through very well, plays beautifully now, very light weight, and thanks to some Gotoh Resolite tuners and moving the strap peg, balances well. |

| | | | I got a SG bass. The tone, playing alone, is not impressive. The real thing is when I'm playing with the band...It's quite different. I have two Jazz Basses and they dont have that "presence", if you know what I mean...

| | | | I like Gibbson and Eppiphone products. In the very near future I hope to get a black Eppiphone EB3 and a red one.
My sons loves them also; he wants an SG and a EB3.
