Any luthiers making a fanned-fret 8 or 10 string (octave pairs)?

This is just an idle question, I don't have the money or a serious motivation to buy... but is anyone making a multi-scale (fanned fret) bass with octave coursed/paired strings? If so, please give us the details, and some photos!

Exar's business is on hold for now. I will still help previous customers.

I've been thinking of building one for myself, it will be a 12 string in pairs in 6 string format with fan frets.
I have to wait for better weather as I only have space heaters, for some reason glue doesn't do well below 0.

Resurrection! I recently got a Dingwall and am soon getting an 8 string Thunderbird copy, so this question is relevant to my interests.
