Anybody have a Pete Hilton I can try?

Hey all. I'm really interested in getting one of Pete Hilton's instruments, but I'm realizing that I shouldn't do it solely on looks alone. I'd love to try one out before I go head over heels into the purchase.
Does anyone in the upstate NY/Burlington, VT/ Montreal area have one they wouldn't mind letting a total stranger try out for a few minutes?

Sorry, i cannot help you with Pete Hilton's instruments.

However, if I was anywhere near Sherbrooke, QC and Google says it's a 1Hr 45min drive from Montreal. I'd like to check out Bilodeau basses. The wood working looks very good and the prices seem to be about half of what I might expect from instruments looking like these.
