I went to Bass pro shop and to my surprise they didn't have a single bass guitar.

While I don't play fretless, much less two different scales of fretless, the short answer is practice. I would hate to have to do that. |

| | | | I was thinking it might be too difficult from an intonation perspective, but since others are doing it, I'm sure I can, also.
With mucho practice.
Thanks, guys!

There is no real standard for the string length for double bass and it ranges from about 39" to about 43", although ~41" is most common. But an advanced double bass players can adjust to them pretty readily, at least in terms of being able to play with pretty good intonation. Nothing beats playing an instrument that you've had thousands of hours on... |

Thanks, guys! | Keep in mind that there are a lot of folks on TB who can't play 35" scale at all, so you're already ahead of that. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
