| | | | Its disapointing to see they are making fender clones now. Theyve had some nice original shapes and are now doing fender lookalikes which is sad direction to me.

I'm also digging on the new BB-4. Pretty cool take on an active PJ. |

An unlined P/J fretless for those who can't afford a Tony Franklin! It is always a disappointment when a company you like announces new products and none of them appeal to you. But that is the norm really. I don't think any of the recently announced basses appeal to be as much as that Vintage 214 FL.

What happened to the ESP ( not LTD) Vintage 4? I had a chance to play one in a store a few weeks ago. The clear-coated relic job was pretty lame, but the bass was very well-built and felt fantastic. If the ESP Vintage basses sound as good as my ESP-built St. Blues PJ, they're definitely worth a look. |

I wish they'd offered at least ONE new 6 stringer.

| | | | Might be slightly late on this one, time-wise... Last August i bought myself one of ESP's LTD Series 8-string basses, the B-208. Very well-made guitar for the price ($449 plus tax, etc.). I'd love to see what they'd do with a production 12-string bass... |

The Vintage stuff is cool, too. |

The 2 on 2 headstock looks like some kind of black metal dragon wing and the 4 inline headstock kind of has that steve vai shredder vibe. Both perfectly fine genres, just not my bag
