Well, I could and have had an all-foreign rig when I play my Hofners or yamahas through my markbass. But that's pure chance.

Well, there is no "normal." I mix my basses up frequently, depending on the project. It's not uncommon for me to play a US-based brand (Fender, Rickenbacker, EBMM, etc.) through my Italian-made Markbass rig.

I could make it happen...

F-Bass, Dingwall, Warwick, Ritter or Yamaha
through Markbass head & Cab

(but typically I use my Bergantino Cab & many of my other basses are products of US or UK based companies)...

I am currently sat in a hotel room playing a Jack and Danny (Canadian I believe) through a Zoom pedal (Chinese I believe) and then plugged into an Acer Laptop (Taiwan) and listening through some Seinheiser Headphones (German).

Did I win?
