Anyone ever order a Fender headstock decal from sentinel custom graphics?

I'm ordering a water slide decal for my Pbass project from sentinelcustomgraphics.com. It's the large early 70s tv logo, not the smaller late 70s one. Wondering what dimensions you used, or if anyone knows the actual dimensions of the decal? I want the decal to look dead on. Thanks.

Are you planning on faking the serial numbers too?

No you aren't the first person to to put a fake decal on a bass so they can rip off a unsuspecting buyer or to try and impress someone with their fake Fender.

The only person I care about impressing is myself. Your attitude stinks man, get out of here with that junk.

Yup you're the FIRST one, and the TB authorities should be here any moment.

So putting a fake decal on your bass impresses yourself?

Are you trying to convince yourself that it's a real Fender?
How does that work?

Come on guys, this isn't the decal opinion thread. Someone just give him some semblance of a answer.

I have a friend who does that, too, to guitars he builds. I don't like it. IMO, the only instruments that deserve a decal are the ones that come out of the Fender factory.

So, you can jump on me for my attitude, too, if you want. I don't care. I'm just expressing my opinion. Free country, ya know.

It's not yours, is it? Why's it matter so much?

Anyone else that isn't a prick care to offer any help, regardless of how uncool I am for buying a replacement decal?

Not a fan of the fake Fenders either but I'm not anal about it. If it's a project bass then why not come up with something original? Even Fender Frankenbass works for me. While the Fender logo is wrong, there never was a Frankenbass model so it's obviously not a real Fender.

+1
If you did all the work on it why not take the credit for it?

thedudebrah bass would look cool with the right script.

Any fake decal thread is, a priori, a decal opinion thread.

A spot-on copy of any brand's label is lame. +1 on "thedudebrah bass" sticker instead. Done in Fender-style script. Could be cool.

I'm a fan of vintage Fenders, but I can rarely afford the real thing. Over the past few years, I've been building basses from parts to my liking aiming for a specific year range and using a custom color. A naked headstock never looked right to me. I haven't sold any of the basses I've built, let alone try to pass them off as real Fenders when asked. The crowds I've played for probably wouldn't know the difference anyway, it's purely so I can look at what I've built and see it as complete. I didn't think an explanation like this would be necessary and I didn't intend to start a back and forth about wether or not replacing a headstock decal was lame or not.
