Are those walnut basses just mongoloid heavy?

i've been playing jazz bass for longer than i want to admit, and the neck on this bass just isn't comfortable to me. at first i thought it was the neck width, but after talking to the g&l guy, he thinks it's the radius as well and suggested i upgrade to an american where i have neck choices (as chef mentioned). i'm debating doing that...
the body is ash with a walnut finish, so it's no heavier than normal. it feels a bit lighter than my jazz bass with an alder body. go figger... |

What's scary to me is that the '94 ASAT guitar that I bought new is now 16 years old. That ain't right.
Cheers,
Chris

But my L2500 (tribute) is SO heavy. I had an issue with my back recently and I couldnt take it to gigs. It is just ridiculously heavy. |
