I did a little carving of the body, putting on those scrolls with epoxy and compound, finishing and painting, and finally an active EMG PJ set. |

| | | 1967 Aria [diamond ] Here's my Aria Bass - the designer sourced D'angelico's 17" body width & design attributes [as did James L. D'Aquisto] for this early Aria Thinline Bass.
Unplugged the Sound is full & rich - plugged in the Single Coils put out a solid signature that's current for most recording & gig work . Weird & Wonderful.

As for your bass, the JPJ-3, I remember seeing those many years ago. I played one and it sounded HUGE!

| | | | Aria guys, I need help. My SB-R150 arrived today. Lovely bass, plays wonderfully. Upon plugging in, I find the neck pickup is totally dead apart from the occasional crackle. Also, the battery LED flashes constantly despite putting in new batteries. I am guessing this is not normal. Any ideas? Replace the pickup? Get better batteries? The ones I have are crappy and cheap Kodak ones but they are all I could find at the local shop.

Sounds like it could, at worst, be a loose connection somewhere.
May as well post my new Aria in here:
Was originally told it was a '77, I'm pretty sure it is a '78. Either way, it's awesome
Needs a few bits of fixing, the binding on the neck was redone, and really could be improved. The chrome is pretty blistered too. Basically needs a bit of TLC

| | | I posted a thread a couple days ago, but maybe the Aria club could help out?
I've never seen an Aria like this before. Dee_01 suspects it may be an Aria Pro II neck on some kind of P body, but both the P'UPs say Aria Pro II on them. |

I was a little freaked out by that the first time I had a Matsumoku made SB-1000, but I assure you that it's working correctly.
However, the dead pickup will obviously need to be replaced. I guess your best bet is one of the Armstrong pups. |

Aria TAB-60
32" scale
Mahogany Body
Maple neck
2 humbucker pickups
the serial number starts with 90***** so according to the website it must be from 1990.

| | | | What do you think of the STB? I was thinking of picking up an STB 5-string at some point in the future.

Very fast neck, dream to play, right out the box. I haven't had the chance to play it through a real bass amp yet (only into a recording interface), going to have a bash with it at a band practice in a weeks time, so will give it a bit of a review then .
