Any chance of sound clips? | Thanks mate. It starts with a 09xxx. I'll try figure out some sound clips. I guess the serial number would mean this is a 2009 manufacture? |

- The volume difference between passive and active is not super pronounced. I like that.
- I think I slightly lean towards the passive "zing". (edit: I prefer the passive on the more trebly setting. The active really comes to life as the filter moves down towards a bassier tone - IMO)
Question - the LED light stays on in both modes. Is that correct?

Also, the active settings are like pre-set filters to the actual tone, rather than boosting frequencies like most actives, so that allows the volume to stay very similar because you aren't boosting much dB.
I could be wrong, I'm not perfect thats for sure but these are my experiences with them at least.

BTW, I looked at your profile and noticed Bruce Foxton as an influence. You've probably already seen this then, but if not, here he is with an SB-700: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Je6VFoyy8zc Quote:

| | | Hi guys,
Im thinking about buying this bass: http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/ba...984/1004811427
What do you think - is it worth the price? I would dearly love a 30 year old P bass (who wouldnt!?), but cant afford one, so this seems a good compromise. I play mostly funk (the JBs, New Mastersounds etc...) | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
