I'm completely happy with my Carvin Icon 5 string but in all the electrics I've owned, that one sticks in my memory. |

Thanks,

Do any Aria masters know standard fretwire size/type (or suitable replacement) for an SB1000?
^ a few posts up.
Thank you. |

FW47104 comes in the gold Evo alloy also which goes with the brass wonderfully. I would recommend it! I actually use the monstrous FW57110 which is probably as big as it comes. http://www.shop.jescar.com
This is based off Zuma's measurements and those off a similar bass. Both sizes mentioned will be as near as damnit.

Economical from a builder's standpoint. How do the pickups and the fretwork compare to your plethora of Japanese APIIs?

And I agree- the headstock and neck taper look good together. Everything looks good with those hard-to-not-love headstocks. |

The pickups are Single Coils and very clean sounding. It sounds good, but not in the Classic Aria Pro II sense. The fretwork is there though! The bass plays like a dream, and the B-String is usable. If I can find the elctronics to go with the Alembic pickups I probably WILL modify the bass. An Aria Pro II SB Black and Gold LTD 5-String! But for now I'll enjoy the Stock Triple Black Goodness that it is! Oh, it's not Sparkles, but a Very Fine Black Metal Flake. The Flash exagerates the effect. She is a Beauty!
