Lord knows that here on TB, club affiliation is priority number one, so here it is, the official Atkinson Owners Club.
You guys know the rules. Post a picture (or two, or twenty) of your Atkinson bass and I will provide you with the all-important number, which will define you for the rest of your days. I usually check TB once a day, so I should have no trouble keeping track of updates. PM me if I forget to give you a number.
Without further ado, here is my Atkinson P Bass, making me member numero uno:

The neck on Baby Blue is a '62 Jazz neck, but a bit thinner from front to back, with clay dots and ebony board, finished in nitro. |

She's heavy, but I like her.
I did change the pickguard, but that's it. Didnt need anything else. |

As always, its not what I think that matters.
Talkbass has spoken. Black pickguard it is.
Ironically enough the day I got her in the mail a friends band called me up to say their bassist quit, and they want me as their new bass player.
So id like to thank dan for making such a well made instrument to play, because I get to put it to practical use right away.
Played today for a few hour jam/practice and the I actually like the extra weight, about 11 pounds.
Anyhoo, watch for a NBD thread from me and ill dish the details. I'm thinking about doing an actual review as well. |
