Atkinson Owners Club

So despite there being several threads devoted to Atkinson basses, there has yet to be a club for Atkinson owners. Lord knows that here on TB, club affiliation is priority number one, so here it is, the official Atkinson Owners Club.

You guys know the rules. Post a picture (or two, or twenty) of your Atkinson bass and I will provide you with the all-important number, which will define you for the rest of your days. I usually check TB once a day, so I should have no trouble keeping track of updates. PM me if I forget to give you a number.

Without further ado, here is my Atkinson P Bass, making me member numero uno:

Count me in with this photo for now. I have another P/J from Dan on the way. I'll snap some photos of both of them together when it arrives.

This epic bass face is eclipsed only by the bass. Mucho beauty. What are your neck dimensions on that?

I'm quite intense on stage. An audience comes to see a performance, right?

The neck on Baby Blue is a '62 Jazz neck, but a bit thinner from front to back, with clay dots and ebony board, finished in nitro.

OOOOH! Gas just went from slightly uncomfortable to doubling me over in agony. I would probably look every bit as intense as you do playing that bass in my bedroom!

I'd bet my money on it. Dan's basses are truly inspiring.

Here it is in action:

Might have seen this in the classifieds recently, I was lucky enough to win over this one in a trade.
She's heavy, but I like her.

I did change the pickguard, but that's it. Didnt need anything else.

Man, I thought id be right on that one.
As always, its not what I think that matters.
Talkbass has spoken. Black pickguard it is.

Ironically enough the day I got her in the mail a friends band called me up to say their bassist quit, and they want me as their new bass player.
So id like to thank dan for making such a well made instrument to play, because I get to put it to practical use right away.
Played today for a few hour jam/practice and the I actually like the extra weight, about 11 pounds.

Anyhoo, watch for a NBD thread from me and ill dish the details. I'm thinking about doing an actual review as well.

Yup, still doing the numbers, which makes you, Mr. Gord_oh, number 3. I haven't been on TB for a while, I've been busy recording an album with the band, but I still get updates on this thread so if you want a number post a pic and you will be obliged.

Thanks! Easily the most comfortable/best sounding bass I've ever owned. If i ever have to narrow it down to just one...this is it.
