| | | | And the force 40 is back on eBay. Just a bit of history - he originally listed it at $275 and it didn't sell. Each time he realists he adds $25!! This morning he's asking $325. So I would try to talk him down if it was me. |

Ok TalkBass gives me gas, no question. I went to get some strings this morning and came home with this.
They had a tag calling it a Washburn , the truss cover has a model#332.
Someone modified it by putting basslines pups. It plays and sounds great and I basically paid for the pups and got the bass free. Anyone care to guess what the heck it is? I can't find anything on WE-332.

In the ad, notice the Vulture II is called an SB-50CS and at the very bottom under "BASS" look at all the SB basses----including SB-40-1 and -2!!!!!! Anyone wanna tackle that? We need someone in TB that is great at Japanese AND English that can do some digging for us as I have more old Japanese sites I cannot cruise in well at all and might have some answers.
Also note the GEORGE WASHBURN logo------strange!!!
Meanwhile---look below in awe!

Never seen 'em before in my life. Obviously the LP means Les Paul. I have emailed the guy and politely asked the store to send me pictures of the headstock, back and serial numbers---and any document if he has any. Hope he does--------this is gonna be a big mystery fit to tear my hair out if the headstock is Washburn. ***!
UPDATE: 01FEB---the guy selling these says the sunburst bass only has a faded orange sticker on the heel which is unreadable, no SN and the headstock, in his own words says:
"just the ususal swung WASHBURN with some diamond style motifs underneath in white"
.............diamond style motifs? Never seen that on a Washburn---has anyone? I asked for a picture and was told it is in storage and therefore, I guess I will not be getting a pic! He does own the blue one. Maybe I canb get a pic of THAT one then. http://stores.ebay.de/music-outlet-s..._sid=101471293

| | | | The b-20 is a really polarizing bass!! People either love it or think its hideous. I love it but have a couple of issues-
Tuners are too close together and the bridge was kind of ...... Unrefined.
Mine has an arrow straight neck but I couldn't get the action low enough. Solved by machining 1/16 inch off the bottom of each individual saddle. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
