B and G strings too loud

Just got a Squier Affinity Jazz 5 string and find that the combination of small fretboard radius, 5 string width, and jazz style pickups results in the B and G strings being way closer to the pole pieces than the other strings. Seems like one heck of a design flaw.

Does anyone make a 5 string jazz pickup with staggered pole pieces?

Your pickups are probably too high (too close to the strings). Putting them farther avay will make your string balance much more even...

Lollars have the different length pole pieces. Excellent tone as well.

I had a set in my Affinity. Moved them to my Vintage Mod J V. Sound great in either bass.

Common problem with low radius jazz 5s, wish I had a better answer for you, but custom pickups seems like the only solution.
