Bacchus, Show 'em if you've got 'em!

Probably going to be a short thread, but I know there's a few of them out there. Any others in the U.S.?
Show 'em if you've got one!

From last Sat. night.

Very interested in this one. I didn't realize that these were as affordable as they are, after I spent a bunch of time looking at em at the guitarsjapan website.

Ped, that Bacchus is damn fine! But that String mute thing is just butt-ugly! Bet it makes it thumpy as hell though.

Here's a few pics of mine, super good bass!

There's two "Universe Series" on ebay right now.

Any info on that series?? At $499 new that seems like an entry level model

I like this creme colored one

I think they might just be an old model. They're not in the current inventory so maybe they're just trying to clear them to make room new stock. Sweet looking basses nonetheless!

It says it's a new model:

The Model of :2007 Bacchus Universe Series.
"BJB-5-700"

I'm tempted

Wow that's strange! I know that Headway Guitars make the majority of Bacchus guitars and basses, maybe there is another company that makes more budget models or something. They definitely look worthy of checking out!

If you look at the headstock it says 'Universe series' rather then 'Begining of the new tradition(sic)' and the rear of the headstock seems to have a serial number rather than the handmade logo. A friend of mine said they make the cheaper models in Korea. I will find out more from him about this.

They look superb value though...

Good point. My favorite Jazz Bass is right at ten pounds and I wouldn't want anything heavier.

Hey y'all.

I've seen these basses around and go for real cheap. What's the deal, are they comparable to an American Fender or Japanese or what?

Cheers

I purchased mine a few years back, and it is more than comparable to Fender, Sadowsky, or any high-end jazz bass copy you can name. I am convinced that for the money, you cannot find a better bass.

The basses that are currently listed on ebay are the Universe series, of which I am not familiar with, but I have only heard good things about them, and I'm sure anybody who plunks down the cash will not be disappointed.
