the only "downside" point of the bass is that the preamp is the one that come with the first series (HMC-EB1) that has a high gain and a little boomy when you turn the eq knobs up... I order a aguilar obp 1 with a pasive tone and a split coil switch too....

Here's a video of my son playing one of my Bacchus. It's essentially a copy of a mid-70s jazz bass, with a Badass bridge and J-retro. It has that punch and growl you would expect from this combo.

Price has been dropping for a couple weeks now. That prompted me to do a search here for Bacchus basses. I don't know anything about them. I figured someone here could fill me in.

It's a lot more dinged up than the pictures show. Quite a few chips in the finish and the color is actually more dull than the pics show. And it's a bit on the heavy side.
It's certainly more "roadworn" than the pictures reveal.
All the same, it sounds very nice though and is quite a deal at that price.
