And my first Roscoe SKB3006---the one they called "The Brain" because of the crazy topwood.
Still regret selling those basses......

Candidates... my first bass (cheap P copy) just for sentimental reasons, my Tokai Jazz fretless, Westone Thunder 3 (my nephew still has it, I hope, along with the Gibson Lab Series amp and cab I gave him to go with it), 78 P bass (just too damn heavy). Maybe my Ric? Stingray? Nah.
Winner - my Status Series 2000 from about 1985. I miss that one.
There's many others I don't really miss at all. I'm very happy with what I still have.

Actually, I think "Steve D" owes YOU one!!! Like an all-expenses paid trip to your favorite bass retailer for a comparably priced bass!!!

Peavey T-40 (natural)
Rickenbacker 4001 (black/black)
Squier Jazz (candy apple red)
Carvin LB-75 (pearl white)
So I learned my lesson I'm keeping basses I like now.

I really needed a new bass amp, and didn't need the bass as much, so the trade made sense... but I miss it nonetheless.

And sounds silly, but I haven't found another Agave Blue bass to match my Agave Blue Strat... | Agave Blue basses are perfect for playing the song Tequila!

sold my 4003 after getting laid off from my job to pay cc debt. Also convinced myself that I was way more of a Leo guy. It was a nice change of pace from my Fenders/MM style basses and absolutely roared in the studio during loud jam sessions. Miss it dearly. |

| | | My first bass, a short scale Cruise by VMI. It was no where near the "best" bass I've ever owned. Its neck was super thick and the guy at my local guitar shop could never get the string buzz out of it, but man I had some good times learning to play with that thing |

Money problems. I guess there's nothing really special about it other than that it was my first bass. At the time I was still primarily a drummer and didn't have a bass gig, so it was more bass than I needed and I was broke.

Black with Black guard and rosewood board. It came with flats. I played it for less than a year when I got an Ibanez Rick copy in Maple-Glo. That one had a bolt on neck. Don't really miss that one too much though. The neck used to shift on it no matter how much I tightened the neck bolts.
That old Musicmaster, that one would be cool to have back.

It still one of the best sounding basses I have ever played.
In 2000, I bought an Ibanez EDB600. There was nothing special about it but it had a very fast neck and sounded great.
My first bass 1980 Washburn B20.

The basses I miss the most are my Jerry Jones Longhorns. The first one was from the 90's and was a turquoise blue with rosewood bridge. Played and sounded great. The other one was a newer neptune option with all metal bridge and copper burst. I liked the blue one better. Sold them both at the same time. Looking for a Dano Longhorn now. Can't afford a JJ right now. Jerry stopped building and the prices have soared! |

Purchased back when you could still buy a used Ric for well under a grand.
Sold it to pay a bill. Would give anything to have it back in my arms.
