Bass ramp

So I see a lot of jazz guys like Matthew Garrison and Hadrien Feraud playing with ramps. Where can I get one? Would it have to be custom made? I would like to stick one on my Warwick Thumb.

you need to have them custom made by a luthier. BTW make sure that the top of the ramp is radiused because i've heard some luthiers with little experience with ramps makes the top flat

You can also go to garywillis.com(Gary Willis was probably one of the first to use a ramp) and use the "Ask Willis" function to send him an email, he usually answers within 7-10 days.
Search the archive on his website, I'm sure someone has already asked him re the ramp. AFAIK the answers are public for everyone to read.

I used to have a ramp on my old 5-string, custom made by the guy who built my bass. Any good luthier should be able to custom build it for you.

Willis video for making a ramp for a J bass. Concept would translate to another make/model.

I think Paul McCartney had the first ramp ever on a bass.
