Which bass for this sound?
 

Being a newbie still to bass playing it's not obvious to me, but is there a specific type of bass/pickups/amps that will get me in the ballpark to cop this type of sound? I currrently play a pedulla with active bart, so i'm thinking maybe more of a traditional J style bass.

Yeah sounds like a Jazz to me.

Does your bass have a bridge pickup? From what I hear I would say favoring the bridge pickup and a new set of rounds (I'm guessing nickels) will get you somewhat close?

Ya- fretted jazz with the bridge soloed. Great playing, not my favorite sound.
