Beck: Sound and Vision--Bass?

I'm sure some of you guys have seen the video of Beck playing Bowie's Sound and Vision with an orchestra of 160 musicians. There are a few short clips where it shows the bass player and I noticed that he's playing something I haven't really seen before. Does anyone know what kind of bass this is?

Hmm looks like the bassist is Gabe Roth from the Dap-Kings.
