So what did you buy? I'm interested in the Schecter Stiletto Elite 5 myself.

I have not bougth any bass yet, but now I'm looking for a used Lakland 55-02 but if I canīt find it at a affordable price, I will buy a 55-01 or a G&L Tribute L-2500. My decision is between these great 3 basses

Guys, I want to say you I'm very grateful for you help. Finally, I decided to buy the Tribute L-2500 and I'm waiting for it. I bougth it new at music123 and it cost $100 less than in the rest of the sites. I suggest you check this site an save some money. Thanks

Alright- nice going! Post when you have it and have decided how you feel about it. Congradulations, and on behalf of the rest of us, you're welcome!

I second the Lakland! I bought a Skyline 55-02 a week ago, and its BY FAR the best bass I've played on

What about Sterling by Musicman Ray35? The sound great, can be had for your budget new (especially with holiday deals), and look awesome (I even see some floating around in honeyburst finish).

Zombie threads that involve pricing shouldn't be resurrected. $700 five years ago is like $8,000 now.

If I had $700 to spend on a bass I'd wait around for a used USA G&L L-2000 to pop up on craigslist.
