best Fender Bass? i made a Thread the other day asking for players opinion on the best MIM Fender Bass, so far for MIM i like the Reggie Hamilton. I recently ran into alot of money, so i would like players opinions on which Fender bass is the best period they have played. i will try out any of the opinions, so i will appreciate any replies, thanks! |
For me, that is easy. My 75RI is the finest Fender I have EVER played. Period. End of Story. Everything about that honey is class. Pure class! Merry Christmas Everyone!!!! |
I don't own one, but the Road Worn Precision Bass i played had the sweetest tone ever |
Love my Jazz Select:) |
MIJ Jaguar's! Just name your sound and it'll do it. |
The best Fender I ever played is my MIM Jazz. It's also the only one I've ever played so, yeah. |
Why limit yourself to Fender? |
THe best Fender I ever played and owned for $ and tones...Geddy Lee MIJ... |
my '09 AV62RI, with CS60's pups and sanded neck, plays & sounds like the best ever, IME!!!:hyper: |
The best Fender Bass? his last G&L IMVHO Merry Christmas Love & Peace |
"Off the rack" - the American Vintage RI's are a good deal and are being discontinued (so I've read) and there are some good deals out there. |
discontinued? really? wow |
thank you for all the replies, i will try as many as i can. alot of these replies help me with my assumptions on which basses i may like. i initially was think the 75RI. |
Don't forget the 2012 American Standard Jazz or Precision. ![]() |
The best Fender I have ever owned is a AMD P. |
What style of music? What are you expecting from the bass? Do you prefer skinny or fat necks? Is weight a factor? |
Do you want a P or a J? The MIA Standards are pretty awesome. The best I've ever played is my 57' AVRI P bass, which is exactly why it's mine :) Quote:

a p or a j, i dont care |
Your choice : P PJ J Jaguar everything else is just a color variation or they tag a name on it to sell it higher. |
The last American standard jazz I played was glorious. Really nice bass for the money. |
