Probably this amp rig (Genz-Benz Shuttle 9.0 and Uber 410 cab), although my last bass purchase was pretty nice too.

And this '12 Am. Std. FSR Jazz in hand-stained Wine Red:

Now I have to lay low for awhile and not spend anymore money...

A Hipshot detuner. Little piece of metal that opens a lot of room on my 4 string

Super pleased with this bass.
Dear goodness! That is near identical to what I'm trying to acquire this year.

Is that a Black Pearloid pick guard?

It sure is gorgeous!

Ibanez Fretless P. Never thought I'd be able to handle a fretless but I recorded in the studio tonight and am super pleased I got it.

I did a complete gear overhaul in 2012 and am loving every move I made. Now playa Fodera Emperor 5 through an Aguilar DB750, pushing either a Bergantino HT1x12ER or a Bergantino HT322. Tone heaven!

My upright bass - a Shen SB200. Best purchase in a LONG time. Upright is where it's at.

My Glasstone Lil G 212 cab. Best gear I've acquired in a long time.

2012 was a huge year for me equipment-wise. Basically a complete overhaul of my bass rig top to bottom, as well as a new main gigging bass. Wasn't planning any of it, just sorta happened across the span of the year. Not often I change rig components, but I can honestly say I've never been happier with my onstage tone than in 2012.

This Ibanez SR-705:

Into this Zoom B3:

Into this GK MB-500:

Into this Avatar TB153:

= a very happy bass player onstage.

All of it equally as important as the next to the end result tone - I don't think I could pick a "best" of the bunch if my life depended on it.
