I currently use a Fender Jazz Bass Highway One Series as my primary bass, and I switch between Super Slinkies and GHS Boomers on it. I've been wondering if there are any other strings that people have had good luck with?
I'm looking for something affordable, long lasting, and with great tone(hard to find something that fits all three categories ). |

That's my 2 cents but i understand the zing of stainless may not be for everyone. |

In general I like nickles on passive basses and stainless on actives, or units like my Gibsons that need the brightness.

Strings are pretty personal though.
