Best way to Swap out/Trade in a Bass at GUITAR CENTER

I bought a black ibanez acoustic bass AEB5 from Guitar Center earlier this summer. Barely used it but now i realize i want the same one in Natural finish....
I dont have the receipt but do you think if i go into guitar center they will let me trade one in for a natural?
Or someone told me I should buy a natural one in the box and return it with the black one in it?

any suggestions?

no they won't let you trade it out, your bass is now used. Doing a return for a different instrument is not only dishonest but they will check the serial numbers so it won't work anyway.

Your only honest options (which are also the only ones that will work) are:

•*sell it on CL or ebay and use the money to buy the one you want

•*Trade it in to GC (at a loss) to get the one you want

•*Have it refinished

•*Keep it. If you're not playing it much, the color probably isn't going to make you do so.
