I swapped the stock strings for some Roto flats, and I'm thinking I need to change again. I'm leaning to the Nickel Lo-Riders or Sunbeams from DR. Other suggestions are appreciated.

Checked with my local dealer, apparently it take 4 months for an order these days, and at prices which come near to second hand custom shop Fenders, I'm being a little hesitant now.

A few years ago I sold a '66 P bass and replaced it with 2 x Nashes, an engagement ring, and a refrigerator, because the Nashes play, look and sound as good as the '66 did. Plus, I don't need to be paranoid about taking a Nash to dive bars for gigs.

I just happen to have played some Nash guitars yesterday at my local dealer while trying to find out about lead times and prices, I played only guitars because all basses were sold out, apparently Nash don't make a lot of them.
Anyway congrats on the new bass, definitely post more pictures after you received it, it shurely should belong to the "coolest looking P-bass" thread!

This is a reliced Tele bass with an added J pickup by the bridge, with a stacked vol and tone for each pickup. The bass plays and sounds sweet, if this is your thing. This is not a super deal at $1199, but fair from what I have seen Bill Nash'es instruments going for. I am in no way affiliated with Guitar Center but thought this may be a really good deal for someone that wants this type of vibe. Jon, the manager, and Dan, an assistant manager are pretty good people to deal with if you want to check this out. |

If it is a super deal, I hope someone from here grabs it. And if you can get it at a good price, tell Jon or Dan that Steve with the pony tail told you about it. Maybe they will look kindly on me the next time I want something they have. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
