Black/Green Sparkle P-Bass (the one that got away)

I'm on a quest......to find out where this bass is now.....I sold it to Quadzilla a couple years ago when I was in dire need of cash. He then did lots of work on it and passed it on down the line. Who has it now? Surely someone here....

It's a unique combination of late 70s Fender neck and unknown aftermarket body with a crazy sparkle finish that changes from black to green depending on the light. It also had some weird truss rod issues and more than one set of fret markers on the side of the neck. Very unusual bass. But I miss it. And want to know that it's okay.

Quad had it in the classifieds a little while back, but I can't remember who bought it. I almost did, but I pm'ed Quad just a hair too late. I wanted it really bad then.

Yeah, I tried to search for the thread but it's gone. I did see my original FS thread from a couple years ago though.

Did you check Quad's feedback to see if someone gave him any for that bass?

Reviving an old dead thread (that I started), just in case the current owner of this bass is now lurking around somewhere. Please PM me if you know anything about where this bass might be. Thanks!

And....I'm reviving an old thread once more. Ever have a bass you just can't get out of your head? This is mine. I want her back, so bad. Anyone? Seen it? Remember who bought it?

I have the theme from 'Love Story' running through my head as I'm reading this thread...

Good luck, man - hope you find her!

Though I am sure you can find it, I don't know if you can get somebody to sell that again, looks killer.

I will track her down. And someday, somehow I will get her back.

There should be a national database or something for unique instruments that have been sold in times of financial trouble....then if you were the owner of one, you could at least know if someone was looking for it.

(Okay, maybe not. Just daydreaming.)

Killer bass ! I do hope you two are reunited.

I had a pre-Gibson Tobias 5 that I sold back in the mid 90's. I can't count the number of times that I have wondered where it is and hope that it is still pristine.
