Blast cult "Thirty 2"

Anyone seen one of these? Interesting.
32" scale, Mahogany body, maple neck, vintage jumbo frets, swamp skunk FB, Graph Tech nut, Ultralite tuners, Hipshot bridge, and an "active upright bass PU" by EMG.

Their website doesn't offer much info:
www.blastcult.com
Their FB page has some eye candy, including one with a Zebrawood body:
https://www.facebook.com/blastcult

Sent them an e-mail asking for info, although for that kind of coin ($2.5G) I'd probably get me a Bruce Johnson SSB:
http://www.xstrange.com/ssbtech1.html

What do y'all think?

Haven't had the pleasure of trying one yet, but I do play Blast Cult uprights and can tell you Jason Burns' craftsmanship and detail are among the very best out there...looking forward to hearing one, for sure

That is a fine bass, just purdy. Is that a thunderbird style ridge along the length of the strings?

I'd love to try one, one of these days...Jason Burns does the coolest builds and I love his sense of style, as a rule...very curious what those whacky pickups sound like

I've been playing his uprights exclusively for probably 10 years now...I think I've had 5-6 of 'em...the latest Blast Cult uprights are the best thing he's done to date
