Blue Rock Jazz Bass?

My quest for a basswood body, 5-string Jazz knockoff led me to find this beauty.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Bass-Gui...item1c2a44e0e1

Not sure I want to take the chance though.

Anyone know ANYTHING about Blue Rock branded guitars?

At that price, it can't be better than an SX can it?

The Squier Affinity Jazz V has an alder body and is about $200 new. Great value. I think it may be the best value in the whole Squier line.

I don't like the bridge very much though, but that's workable.

Give those a look.

I've looked at it several times and it still seems way off. Notice the saddles are forced down. In the photo looking down the neck you can see the alignment is off at the bridge pickup. I'd stay away.

Thought I had a local deal on an Affinity V with a TB'er, then they must have gotten a better offer and backed out last minute. So, I then found a deal on a MIA Std. Jazz V I couldn't refuse.....so I'm happy.....now I gotta decide whether to mod the MIM or MIA......

Hello guys, I am the owner of the white alpine bass you were speaking of. Got it
off the bay and ready to modify. ; )

First I must say that I purchase these copies to see well the
structure build is and then modify it with better electronics, etc.

Yes the strings were off line and thisis due to the bridge and the
bridge pickup was not to the right dimension. In other words, a
through together and sell. This guitar was made for 18mm string
spacing bridge and can go up to a 19mm. The bridge humbucker
pu was way to narrow for this bridge and thats what you noticed
in the photo. Im replacing the bridge with the correct spacing, totally
replacing the neck and bridge pu with better quality ones. Gutting
out the passive electronics and putting in an a/p 3 band preamp.
Totally converting to the same spec as a Fender Jazz V. Should be
complete in about a month. Good quality build comes from being
patient. Overall this axe is sturdy and well built and that is the main
reason why I'm going ahead and modify it.

PS/ Don't worry, I'll keep you posted

Neck width

Can you tell me what the width of the neck at the nut is? Is it narrow like a 1.75 or wide like a Pbass ?
