Hope to have it soon after Christmas, with pictures for all.

| | | | Bongo head shots always make me see Cthulhu. I've always noticed the slightly tentacle look though. Bongos: BMW? Cthulhu? Toilet? Infinite variety in every way.
I put some d'addario nylon tapewounds on my Bongo about a week back. It's a really interesting mix. You get the nice smooth feel of flats without having an overly dark tone since the Bongo can always sound bright if adjusted well. I might go back to rounds when my Grey Stache pedal comes up for the aggressive tone but I don't know, these are pretty cool. You can get way more out of them than just a dark thump.
What kind of strings do you think would fit the 5s nut and work for ADGCF?

| | | I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees Cthulhu haha
I decided to try out a pair of Cobalts before jumping to the 135 50s (yeah I know, I get a new instrument and i'm constantly on the prowl for the best basic setup) and man these strings are great. The clarity and punch is really something you have to hear in person. It's like taking a blanket off of your amp. I was worried they might be a little too much but they work perfect with the Bongo.
I hate to keep asking questions but you all are fantastic at helping. I'm looking for a new amp that will work well with the Bongo 5 and fuzz pedals (just got a Grey Stache ). I'm using a 5-6 year old Ibanez Sound Wave 100 and even though it's a solid amp I'd like an upgrade. My slightly loose preferences are:
Around 100-200 watts. I usually use my amp in a medium size room so I need to have something that sounds great at any volume, definitely when it's low. 15" speaker would be ideal as well unless anyone has a better idea.
Clear, punchy bass for that low B. The SW100 doesn't handle the low end as well as i'd like.

<$600 | I am using Ampeg Micro-VR stack, works great with Bongo

| | | Sure love my single H lefty. The neck is so comfy and she has a different enough tone then my SR5 to keep them from being too close to each other in tone.

| | Bass player for Christ! | | | | | My PDN Bongo 4 HHp is still being built and should be done sometime in January. I should then hopefully receive it by February. What is cool is it was the only 4 HHp one ordered. Also, my order got misplaced, so when I do get it, it will be the only 2013 model. She will definitely be a one off.

Look forward to seeing some pics of your PDN come 2013! You are a lucky guy!

I would love to come and check it out. I have a Bongo DDII 4 HH that I love as well. This will by my fourth Bongo so I can't wait to get this one. I absolutely love these basses.
