I know I need to work on my touch, but I'm curious how low some other Bongo owners have their action set?
Measured, in millimeters, top of the 12th fret to the bottom of the string.
I realize that your settings may not work for me, but like I said, I'm curious how low others have it and also your opinion on how light your touch is.
Thanks,
Chris

| | | | I'm new here. I play a Skjold 6 string but recently was wowed by EBMM tone and bought a used Bongo 4. I think i'm looking for a used bongo 6 in case anyone knows of one. I might have something to trade. A zon fretless 6 for example with piezos. But if you know of a Bongo 6 that needs a new home let me know.
Best,
Jeremy |

I suspect this is not so much a credit to d'addario nickels, but more of a good tone match between instrument and string (similar to rotos on a rick). so if any of you is looking for a type of string that pairs real well with the bongo, check em out!

Still haven't found strings that please me more than DR Hi-Beams. |

I don't know whats wrong with the toilet seat brigade. Markus, that's freakin awesome looking. Not a fan of those pickguards but it works great on that bass. |

I've also noticed that bongos look totally normal with five or six strings, whereas five string versions of more traditional designs (P basses, stingrays, etc) look a little strange to me.

| | | | I've got a black sapphire bongo 4 with some scratches on the neck. I've heard you can't buy touchup paint and my luthier even wondered if he could. It occurred to me to check the BMW connection, and sure enough they sell black sapphire touchup paint. Anyone have any experience with or guesses about that stuff. Does it work? |
