Bootsy Collins Star basses...... how many...?

Today I saw a new Star bass. All of them were custom orders... Just how many Star basses have been made and what sets them apart...? Does anyone know?

IDK but does that bass have lights in the body or is neon paint under a black light?

How the heck do you slap a bass over 5 jazz pickups?

An interesting variation from Chris Stambaugh.
*not mine*

Wouldn't the left bottom horn get in the way?

Notice the fingerboard extension? He slaps right there. He's got a very efficient slap technique as well.

living through the 1960's and doing tons of acid helps probably.

Haha. I have nothing to say about the bass. Just that I love Bootsy. :D

this one is his new warwick space bass. it has LED lights all over it.its amazing!
usually he also uses DR neon strings that add even more celestial funk to his appearance

I think any more than one of these is one too many. ;)

Just played with him yesterday. There are lights on the bass that are activated by toggle switch and he has some sort of metal bar on the side of his hand to slap easier with

Yeah- that thing looks like a built-in ramp. That's actually a pretty sweet design. A strange part of me really wants that. Strange.
